Howdy.Howdy.Howdy.

Howdy.

Howdy.Howdy.Howdy.

Most folks follow wagon tracks, others break new trail.

At the Content Corral, we epitomize the latter. We're seasoned digital yarn spinners with a penchant for trailblazing content solutions. What's more, we're deadeyes for details with an aversion to lily-livered language, unwarranted wordiness, and their ilk. No matter what you aim to achieve, we'll rustle up creative, clear, and compelling content that hits the mark every time.

We orchestrated the wholesale reimagining of content on the Terra Foundation for American Art website, from conducting an audit, gap analysis, and user surveys to devising an editorial calendar and style guide and generating dynamic new features. This behind-the-scenes video, for example, harnesses an impromptu visit to the foundation's vault by art historian Chris McAuliffe, who divulges novel insights about Milton Avery's 1947 painting Adolescence. Concept, scripting & direction: Content Corral; video: Skalawag Productions

We developed and scripted this 60-second video to launch Conversations with the Collection, the Terra Foundation for American Art's print and digital catalogue, showcasing more than 100 works from its robust but under-recognized  collection. The video doubled as the foundation's 2018 e-holiday card, which was enjoyed by museum directors and curators, scholars, and partners across the globe. Direction: Practise; video: Offsite Productions

In this teaser video, designer James Goggin deciphers the logo he created for Art Design Chicago, a citywide partnership of more than 75 cultural organizations that resulted in hundreds of events and exhibitions celebrating the unique and vital role Chicago plays as America’s crossroads of creativity and commerce. Concept, scripting & direction: Content Corral; video: Spirit of Space

Trail Boss

Content Corral trail boss Charles “Dutch” Mutscheller wrangles words, images, and video into colorful, immersive landscapes. He earned his spurs in the early aughts curating deft art exhibitions and writing criticism and commentary for Lumpen, New Art Examiner, Site of Big Shoulders and a wide variety of print and online outlets. Ever since he’s been herding content and branding ideas for After School Matters, Openlands, The Nature Conservancy, Terra Foundation for American Art, and sundry other do-gooders.

His professional experiences range from hooting for spotted owls in the Sierra Nevada and slinging hash at an Alaskan lodge to editing publications at the Art Institute of Chicago and serving as Chief Communications Officer at Prevent Child Abuse America. Rest assured, Dutch and his slew of talented ranch hands will bring the same intrepid spirit and diverse expertise to your next content adventure. (He can tone down the Old West schtick, too, if you ask politely.)

Give Dutch A Holler

"[Dutch] is a superb writer and is deeply skilled in multiple areas—press relations, website management, social media, and much more."

Eva S., Project Director, Terra Foundation for American Art
